1. Italiano: Il "Libro dei mille caratteri" è stato scritto da Zhou Xingsi durante il regno del'imperatore Liang Wu della dinastia Nord-Sud (420-589).
   

   
   L'autore ha composto 250 versi di 4 caratteri ciascuno, usando un migliaio di caratteri di uso frequente.
   

   
   Il libro ebbe grande successo come testo educativo per bambini, ebbe larga diffusione nella dinastia Sui (581-618) e rimase il libro di testo più diffuso fino alla fine della dinastia Qing (1644-1911).

   由于其编写方法科学,巧妙,教学效里显著,自随(la versione non sempliifcata diversa)朝开始流行,直至清末,是中国历史上流传最久的学习古代文言的蒙学识字课本.
   

   
   

3. English: "A Book of a thousand characters" was written by Zhou Xingsi during the reign of emperor Liang Wu Liang in the North-South Dinasty (420-589 a.d.).
   

   
   The author constructed 250 verses, four characters each, out of a thousand characters of high use frequency.
