他也学过一位老年人,一位年轻妇女,但是到底他没学到邯郸人走路的姿态,反倒连自己原来走路的方法也忘掉了。
等到他回寿陵的时候,只好爬着回去了。
后来,人们用“邯郸学步”或“学步邯郸”这句成语,比喻只知道盲目地模仿别人,结果连自己原来的技能也丢掉了。 - English: During the Warring States period, people living in the city of HanDan in the state of Zhao used to walk in a beatiful way.
